Team news: Chelsea will be without captain John Terry and goalkeeper Petr Cech. The goalkeeper suffered a groin injury at Everton on Sunday so Ross Turnbull will start just his fifth Barclays Premier League game for the Blues in goal. Defender Terry is still struggling to overcome his knee injury while midfielder John Obi Mikel (knee) and Ryan Bertrand (groin) are also doubts.

Provisional squad: Turnbull, Azpilicueta, Ferreira, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cahill, Cole, Bertrand, Lampard, Ramires, Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Moses, Marin, Piazon, Torres, Hilario.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp: “If we can just win a couple of games back to back it can make such a difference.”

Harry Redknapp has said he will be without three or four players, reckoning a number of his squad picked up knocks during Sunday’s 3-0 defeat to Liverpool but refusing to give names. Park Ji-sung returned to training yesterday but remains a major doubt as he recovers from a knee problem, while strikers Andrew Johnson (knee) and Bobby Zamora (hip) are sidelined with long-term injuries.

QPR (from): Green, Cesar, Murphy, Cerny, Onuoha, Hill, Nelsen, Ferdinand, Mbia, Park, Fabio, Traore, Derry, Diakite, Granero, Taarabt, Hoilett, Faurlin, Wright-Phillips, Ephraim, Mackie, Cisse.

The Hoops have never scored more than one goal in any of those 11 fixtures.

QPR have not won in the league at Stamford Bridge since a 2-0 second tier win in April 1983.

Have won four Premier League games on the spin, scoring 14 and conceding twice.

The Blues have now won three successive Premier League away games within the same season for the first time since
August-September 2009.

Frank Lampard has scored five or more Premier League goals in each of the last 16 seasons (and scored 10 or more in the past nine seasons for Chelsea).

Only once has the team bottom of the Premier League table at the end of the year avoided relegation: West Brom in 2004-05.

The Hoops have conceded three or more goals before half time on four occasions since the start of last season, more than any other side in the top flight.

They ended 2012 with 23 Premier League defeats. Only three teams have lost more top-flight matches in a calendar year in the history of the Premier League.

Harry Redknapp has taken charge of 600 Premier League matches, becoming the third boss to reach the milestone in the division after Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger. He has won 228, drawn 157, and lost 215.
