St James’ Park skipper linked with Magpies exit.
Newcastle could be dealt another blow with captain Fabricio Coloccini apparently keen to leave the club to return to Argentina.
Talks between Newcastle and San Lorenzo have been ongoing for two weeks but are now complicated by Demba Ba’s departure to Chelsea.
But, according to the defender’s father Osvaldo Coloccini who works with the Buenos Aires team’s youth sides, Coloccini wants to return home.

Rock solid Argentine defender Fabricio Coloccini has been a tremendous servant to Newcastle United Football Club, sticking with the St James’ Park side even after they were relegated to the second tier.
The 30 year old only signed a new long term contract last year and seems unlikely to be looking to leave the Magpies any time soon but there is perhaps a good chance that in a couple of years the former Boca Juniors centre-back could look to return to his native Argentina.
Coloccini is into his fifth season at Newcastle United and is a favourite with the club’s supporters who are gratefully appreciative of his determined displays and proud leadership.
Fabricio Coloccini has racked up 173 appearances for the club since his £10.3m move to the club from Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna.
Having lost Demba Ba to Chelsea Alan Pardew will be keen to prevent any other member of his first team looking to leave this month.
