Goodison Park star not for sale.
Everton manager David Moyes has ruled out selling striker Victor Anichebe in the January transfer window, denting Reading’s hope of landing the forward.

Home-grown talent Anichebe has once again been forced to play a bit-part role in Everton’s season, acting as back-up to Nikika Jelovic, and as a result his long-term future at Goodison Park had been called into question.
But Moyes insisted the striker, who has scored five times in 13 appearances this season, was not going anyway leaving Reading to pursue other avenues as they looked to sign a goalscorer to fire them to Premier League safety.
Speaking after Everton’s 5-1 FA Cup third round win at Cheltenham on Monday evening, Moyes said. “Anichebe to Reading? No, no truth in that. We won’t be selling anyone, if I have my way that’s for sure.”
That would also appear to put a dent in QPR’s hopes of signing veteran defender Sylvain Distin having targeted the Frenchman as an intended January transfer target. Distin’s future was called into question because of Everton’s interest in Norwegian defender Vegard Forren.
Everton are also attempting to stave off interest from Chelsea and Manchester United for Belgian international midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who has a £22million release clause in the contract.
