French under-21 international N’Diaye, a giant midfielder who can also play in defence, is in the north-east as the 22-year-old undergoes a medical ahead of his £3million transfer from Turkish side Bursaspor.
And he is expected to be joined by former Everton midfielder Cahill, who will join on a short-term loan from the New York Red Bulls during the off-season as Sunderland boss Martin O’Neill adds some much needed muscle to his lightweight midfield.
The pair will be joined at the Stadium of Light by Hungarian international centre-back Juhasz with the 29-year-old, who has been capped 76 times by his country, closing in on a £1.5million switch from Anderlecht in Belgium.
Sunderland are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements with Wes Brown, John O’Shea and Carlos Cueller sidelined with injury leaving only Matt Kilgallon and Titus Bramble as the only fit centre-backs.
N’Diaye and Cahill will provide additional midfield options for O’Neill, who continues to be without captain Lee Cattermole until February and who is having to play the right-sided Sebastian Larsson in the middle of the park.
