Stamford Bridge side close in on Brazilian signing.
Sky Sports sources understands Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Metalist Kharkiv midfielder Taison, but face competition for his signature from another Premier League club.
Metalist are reluctant to lose the attacking midfielder, but Chelsea are believed to have agreed a fee with the Ukrainian side and have agreed personal terms with Taison.

So with a fee agreed and personal terms sewn up there seems little obstacle to Taison’s long awaited move to Stamford Bridge, save for possible interest from another side willing to match or better the deal Chelsea have made to the playmaker and his Ukrainian employers.
Man City are said to be interested in the 24 year old but Chelsea are seemingly still favourites to win the race.
Taison has already made efforts to secure a move to the UK by employing a specialist London law firm to use a loophole in the system to secure his future in England. This is perhaps important given that without a national team cap to his name the small matter of getting hold of a work permit is significantly tougher.
At Chelsea he will join fellow Brazilians Oscar, David Luiz, Ramires and Lucas Piazon at the Premier League club.
Taison is into his third season at Ukraine side Metalist Kharkiv and has been a massive success, scoring and assisting regularly and would certainly be interested in a move to the Premier League side.
Moves to capture Taison may well have been re-doubled once Daniel Sturridge had completed his move to Liverpool.
