Villa Park club enquire about Brazilian.
Aston Villa may turn to Inter Milan attacking midfielder Philippe Countinho to help save them from relegation from the Premier League after enquiry about the Brazilian’s availability.
Despite a leaky defence being Villa’s biggest problem, manager Paul Lambert wants to add some guile to his midfield and sees the 20-year-old Countinho as the type of young player to fit into his thinking.

Coutinho’s agent, speaking to FC Inter News, confirmed the interest from Villa – thought to be a loan move for the remainder of the season – but suggested the Brazilian could yet remain at Inter and bide his time for an opportunity.
“I can confirm Aston Villa made an enquiry for Coutinho,” agent Cacau Barbosa said. “They want him, but with all due respect for the proposal made to Philippe, at this moment there is still nothing concrete to suggest an exit from Inter.”
Coutinho has been at Inter Milan since signing from Vasco da Gama in Brazil, but has found his first-team chances limited at times. He has scored five times in 37 games during three seasons at Inter, and enjoyed a successful loan spell in Spain with Espanyol when finding the net five times in 16 games last season.
