The Independent today claim that Arsenal have joined the race to sign Marseille striker Loic Remy.
Arsenal will battle Queen’s Park Rangers, Newcastle United, Schalke and Inter Milan to land the £10m rated forward who Arsene Wenger has identified as the man to add much needed firepower to his Gunners squad.
The 26 year old finished as Marseille’s top scorer in the past two campaigns but is not a player new boss Elie Baup is seemingly all that keen on with the French international playing a peripheral role at the Stade Velodrome this season.

However the North London club could certainly do with attacking alternatives and Remy is a player who could well be the ideal man for the job.
Marseille paid £14m to bring Remy to the Stade Velodrome after impressing at nearby Nice In his first two seasons Rémy scored 37 goals in all competitions.
Sources in France claim Arsenal are favourites to land the French international.
