Fiorentina admit interest in signing Stamford Bridge star.
Fiorentina are the latest club to declare an interest as the race to sign Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard on a free transfer at the end of the season begins to hot up.
Lampard looks destined to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season when his contract runs out after his representatives revealed that no new offer has been put on the table, and Italy seems a likely destination with Fiorentina joining Juventus, Lazio and Inter Milan in being interested.

Fiorentina president Mario Cognigni said: “Lampard is a player I have always liked and may be an example of today’s marketplace.
“A player who has passed 30 years, his contract is expiring, and he may be the right combination between experience and cost of the deal.”
Lampard has also been strongly linked with a move to the MLS, where reigning champions Los Angeles Galaxy are considering him as an option to fill the boots left by David Beckham following his decision to leave the club.
Monaco, meanwhile, are also in the frame as they look for big-name additions ahead of their likely return to Ligue 1 in France next season.
