Arsene Wenger is confident Barcelona midfielder will play for Arsenal again at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident that former skipper Cesc Fabregas will make a Gunners return according to Sky Sports.
The Gunners manager insists that the Spanish international, who played for the North London club for eight years, he can see Fabregas playing for the club again.
“I’m not convinced that he won’t come back here one day,” Wenger insisted.
“He is really an Arsenal man. He loves Arsenal and watches every game of Arsenal.
Despite the belief of some that Fabregas would struggle to make a mark on his Barcelona return, due chiefly to the level of talent in the Nou Camp midfield and warming the bench, the 25 year old made 38 starts in his first campaign, and 20 thus far this season and has been a hugely pivotal figure for both Pep Guardiola and then his successor Tito Vilanova.
Therefore a return to Arsenal does seem more than a tad unlikely, not least because his involvement and importance to at the Catalan club will only increase, especially when veteran Xavi decides to call it a day.
