Loftus Road bid for for West Brom striker rejected.
Queens Park Rangers’ attempts to sign striker Peter Odemwingie from West Brom have suffered a blow after having a £2million offer turned down.
Loftus Road boss Harry Redknapp has turned his attentions to 31-year-old Nigerian international Odemwingie after losing out to Newcastle United in the race to sign French star Loic Remy from Marseille.

But West Brom boss Steve Clarke has flatly refused the offer from QPR and told the Premier League strugglers to forget about signing any of his players having also declared an interest in signing defender Jonas Olsson from The Hawthorns.
Speaking after West Brom’s defeat at Reading on Saturday, Clarke said: “It would be nice if other clubs accepted the fact [that none of our players are for sale].
“They are entitled to make enquiries and put bids in so long as they do it in the right manner, they don’t do it through the press but in the correct way. We have no grievance with that and its easy for us then to say ‘no.’ We don’t want to sell anybody and any enquiries or bids will be met with the same answer ‘no’.”
Redknapp remains hopeful of ending his search for a striker by capturing Danny Graham from Swansea City, although Sunderland, Reading, Norwich and Aston Villa are also interested in him.
