Belgian international forward signs loan deal to stay in Germany.
Everton and Fulham have missed out of transfer target Igor de Camargo after the Belgian international striker turned down a move to the Premier League in favour of staying in the Bundesliga.
Fulham were thought to be leading the race for the £2million man, who has been capped nine times by Belgium, with Everton also in the running to sign the 29-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach forward.
But Brazilian-born De Camarago, who made his name at Standard Liege before moving to the Bundesliga, was keen to stay in Germany and has agreed to joined TSG Hoffenheim on loan for the remainder of the season, according to Sky Sports.
Fulham are looking to add some firepower to ease the burden on Dimitar Berbatov, but De Camargo told Kicker: “I’d like to stay in the Bundesliga.”
