The 20-year-old has been constantly linked with moves from Brazil to Europe’s biggest clubs with Chelsea and Barcelona among the names leading the race to sign him along with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
Neymar committed his future to Santos until after the 2014 World Cup, which will be played in Brazil, but has spoken of the possibility of leaving his homeland behind when his contract is up in 2014.
In an interview with FIFA.com, he said of his future: “Even I don’t know that. My contract runs to 2014 but there’s still a long way to go before the World Cup. I don’t know if I’ll renew it or not. It’s a personal issue and I’ll have to talk it through with my family and Santos. We’ll definitely speak about it further down the line.”
Neymar is regarded as one of the hottest properties in world football and would cost upwards of £40m.
