Tottenham are preparing a move for Osasuna’s £6.8million-rated goalkeeper Andres Fernandez in the summer, according to the Daily Star.

The 26-year-old Fernandez was set for a move to Real Madrid, who are looking for goalkeeping options following Jose Mourinho’s fall-out with Iker Casillas, but the switch to the Bernabeu fell through.
And now Tottenham are to enter the market to sign the Spaniard, who came through the ranks at Osasuna and has had a loan spell at Huesca, in the summer with White Hart Lane manager Andre Villas-Boas having sent scouts to watch the goalkeeper in La Liga action.
Manchester City and Barcelona have also done checks on Fernandez, but have other targets at the top of their shopping list including Victor Valdes swapping the Nou Camp for the Etihad Stadium.
Tottenham started this season with four first-team goalkeepers following the purchase of French international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who joined Brad Friedel, Carlo Cudicini and Heurelho Gomes at White Hart Lane.
Cudicini left in January to join Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS and Gomes also departed after being sent out on loan for the remainder of the season to Bundesliga side Hoffenheim. And with Friedel now 41, Villas-Boas knows he needs to bring in back-up to Lloris.
