Return to his native Brazil may well tempt Emirates Stadium wide-man.

Brazilian side Gremio have made an approach to sign Arsenal wing-back Andre Santos according to talkSPORT.

The left-sided Gunners man has been woeful this season and compounded that bad form with an ill advised move to swap shirts with former Arsenal star Robin Van Persie at half-time during the club’s clash with Man United.

The deadline-day signing of Spaniard Nacho Monreal would appear to suggest that Arsene Wenger is ready to consider offers for Santos and a move back to his native Brazil may well tempt the 29 year old Arsenal man.

Gremio president Fabio Koff stated; “Andre Santos is one of our interests. We talked with Arsenal, but there is nothing certain. It is a very difficult negotiation.”

Santos joined Arsenal in August 2011, signed from Fenerbache in a £6.8m deal. Thus far he has made 30 appearances for the North London club but will now find himself behind both the aforementioned Monreal and England left-back Kieran Gibbs.
