Arsenal are in talks with Barcelona to sign Victor Valdes and David Villa according to talkSPORT.

Real Madrid vs Barcelona tickets are on sale for this massive La Liga clash at the Bernabeau on March 3rd.

The experienced pair may well be on their way to the Nou Camp exit and could perhaps be interested in a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Keeper Valdes has recently publicly stated his intention to leave Barcelona and Arsene Wenger may see the experienced Spaniard as an ideal custodian to fight for Arsenal’s starting spot with youngster Wojciech Szczesny, who has made a number of errors in recent months.

Wenger has been chasing David Villa for some time but failed to persuade his Nou Camp employers to sell the striker last month but may find a move to sign the former Valencia man this summer a tad easier.

The proven finisher will have just a year to run on his current contract at the end of the season and having become something of a bit-part player at Barcelona he is unlikely to agree a new deal. This will leave Tito Vilanova having to consider offers for Villa to avoid losing a player who cost £33m leaving for nothing in 18 months time.

Despite playing a limited role this term David Villa has still managed 11 goals in 25 appearances this season, of which 12 were from the bench.

Wenger may feel that David Villa can offer Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott genuine support up front and the Spanish international may well be ready for a new challenge.
