Barcelona have admitted having a strong interest in signing Brazilian striking sensation Neymar amidst rumours that a deal is already in place for the youngster to move to the Nou Camp in 2014.

The Spanish giants are one of a number of clubs bidding to sign the 21-year-old from Santos with Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid all having been reported to have strong interest in Neymar.
Barcelona have confirmed their keenness to sign one of the world’s most highly-rated players from his club Santos, with vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu admitting the club will be in position with a bid when the time comes.
“He’s a player wanted by the technical team,” Sky Sports quote him as telling AS newspaper. “When he says he wants to leave Santos, the club will be there to try and sign him. He is wanted by half of the world.”
Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini pulled out of the running at the weekend when he stated that Neymar was likely to be on his way to Spain and some of the Barcelona players have backed up that theory when speaking of a completed deal.
It is understood that Barcelona have a pre-contract agreement in place to sign Neymar, who has scored 17 goals in 28 appearances for Brazil, in 2014 after he has played in the World Cup on home soil.
