20 year old Ghanaian international Schlupp has been on trial at the Old Trafford club for the past two months and has appeared in the club’s last two Under-21 fixtures. Man United are ready to make an offer worth a total of £2.5m adaptable talent who can play on the left or up front.

Foxed boss Nigel Pearson has talked up the possibility of a deal being done stating;

“I think we’ll be discussing this week what the next step is. He’s done well at United, he’s played the last two games that he can play there so clearly it’s going to have some effect this week.”

Sir Alex Ferguson is said to have been impressed with Schlupp’s showing and will look to complete a deal to sign the Hamburg born starlet but any deal will still see the Leicester City man finish the current campaign with the Championship side, who currently sit in fifth spot in the table.

Man United have of course already completed one deal to sign a young talent from England’s second tier, bringing in England winger Wilfried Zaha in a deal that will see the Crystal Palace man move to the Premier League table toppers next season.
