Man United continue to track Argentine man-mountain Ezequiel Garay with the Old Trafford side ready to make a summer move for the Benfica man according to Portuguese source O Jogo.

Tickets for the Manchester Derby are now available. Watch first placed Manchster United v manchester Ciity at Old Trafford on April 8th. Man Utd v Man City tickets are now on sale as Manchester City look to close the gap on their fierce rivals.

Sir Alex Ferguson has sent his brother Martin to scout the former Real Madrid man in recent weeks and has filed glowing reports about the 26 year old’s form, form that has helped Lisbon side Benfica to lead the Primeira Liga and go the entire season thus far unbeaten.

With Rio Ferdinand clearly nearing the end of his glittering career one can assume that interest in Garay may be with a view to finding a long term replacement for the 34 year old, who is still to sign a new contract and is due to see his current deal come to a close this summer.

Ferguson’s defence struggled somewhat in the earlier part of the season and given the skipper Nemanja Vidic has had his fair share of injury concerns it does make sense to consider options to beef up the Man United back-line.

Benfica’s defence with Garay at the centre of it, has conceded just 14 goals in 21 league games this term.
