Emirates Stadium boss sees adaptable talent as ready-made replacement for exit bound star.
Man City’s decision to offload injured defender Micah Richards has alerted Arsenal according to the Sunday People.
Arsene Wenger will apparently make a move for the 24 year old England man as a ready made replacement for exit bound Frenchman Bacary Sagna.

Arsenal have long been linked with interest in Richards, who has been out with a knee injury since late October, and injury recovery that Roberto Mancini has himself branded as ‘strange’.
With Pablo Zabaleta putting in a series of quality displays and young Serbian Matija Nastasic will leave Richards with little hope of a return to first team matters on a regular basis, in either of the positions he occupies.
It’s Richards ability to play in both a right-back and a central defensive role that may well be the basis of Wenger’s interest but the player’s lengthy injury lay-off will surely be a concern.
Despite his time out with injury Richards has still amassed 228 appearances for Man City and has 13 national team caps to his name so is clearly an experienced talent who could boost Arsenal’s shaky defence.
One would wonder where such a move would leave young talent Carl Jenkinson, who is thought by many to be the natural successor to Sagna, though perhaps the 21 year old is still too raw to be considered a first team regular?
