Tottenham travelled to the San Siro with what appeared to be a comfortable 3-0 lead following their first leg victory over the Italian giants at White Hart Lane.
But Spurs made life difficult for themselves by conceding three in 90 minutes, sending the game into extra-time.
Tottenham eventually made amends with an away goal by Manu Adebayor enough to cancel out Inter’s subsequent equaliser and see the London club go through to the quarter-final stages of the Europa League.
French defender Gallas has insisted that the Tottenham backline will not be as porous when they line up against Fulham on Sunday.
‘In the next game it won’t happen’, said Gallas. ‘It won’t happen because all the players know what they have to do.
‘Against Inter we didn’t play well. It was not good and all the boys know we have to react.
‘I think the manager will have a meeting with us on Saturday to say what was wrong and correct what wasn’t good. It is very important.
‘To concede seven goals in two games is not very good. It can mean some things are not well. It was not the real Tottenham against Inter, but we can move on.’
The North London side will also have the added benefit of being able to recall Welsh winger Gareth Bale.
The midfielder missed out on the game against Inter through suspension and the North London club will welcome the opportunity to see Bale return to his side’s starting eleven.
Andre Villas-Boas’ side currently sit third in the Premier League and will be keen to secure a victory over the Cottagers as they look to secure a Champions League qualification spot.
