This source believes that the Premier League title holders hold the edge over other interested parties, especially as Real Madrid have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign the 27 year old La Liga goal machine.

Man City will apparently offer Edin Dzeko as part of any deal and Sergio Aguero is apparently top of Real Madrid’s summer wish-list.

Falcao has netted 27 goals in 28 games in all competitions this season and netted 36 in his debut season in the Spanish top tier last term.

Mancini’s side have not been as effective in front of goal this term, though his side sit in second spot they have scored less than Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and the same amount as Tottenham.

Man City elected to sell Mario Balotelli to AC Milan and one wonders just what Roberto Mancini’s attack will look like come the start of the next campaign.
