Chelsea have slapped a £17 million transfer fee on Thibault Courtois in the hopes of warding off interest from potential suitors according to The Daily Star.

Tickets are now available for upcoming Premier League fixtures including Arsenal tickets, Manchester United tickets, Manchester City tickets, Newcastle United tickets, Liverpool FC tickets and Tottenham Hotspur tickets

The young Belgian has been in fine form this year for Atletico Madrid and has been attracting the attention of a number of top European sides.

The goalkeeper is currently plying his trade in the Spanish capital as he enjoys a second successive season out on loan from his parent club Chelsea.

The player is highly rated by the Blues hierarchy but is unlikely to break into the Stamford Bridge first team while current number one Peter Cech remains at the club.

Courtois is thought to be getting impatient with his lack of opportunities for the London club and is rumoured to be considering a permanent departure from last season’s Champions League winners.

The likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid have both been linked with the stopper in recent months. But Atletico are hoping to steal a march on their La Liga rivals by proposing to include the player in a summer transfer for Colombian striker Radamel Falcao.

Chelsea are keen to exclude the player from potential negotiations however and have refused to discuss the long-term future of the Belgian number one.
