Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all set to battle it out for Stoke goalkeeper.
Stoke’s Asmir Begovic is set to be the focus of a summer bidding war by a host of top Premier League sides according to The Daily Mail.
The goalkeeper has been attracting the attention of a host of clubs after some impressive performances between the Stoke goalposts during the last few seasons.
That could well see a summer bidding war as the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all vie for the player’s services.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to bring in a new goalkeeper after failing to be convinced by young Spaniard David De Gea. They are ready to return to the transfer market for a new goalie despite spending a whopping £19 million to bring in De Gea from Atletico Madrid two years ago.
Arsenal are keen to bring in a new goalkeeper to provide competition for Wojciech Szczesny. Arsene Wenger has lost faith in the Polish stopper after a number of erratic performances has seen his side lose valuable points in the race for a Champions League qualification spot.
Chelsea are also thought to be keen to bring in a back-up for their current number one Peter Cech.
Stoke are likely to start the bidding at £15 million but they could receive significantly more than that should a bidding war begin amongst the interested clubs.
