PSV Eindhoven youngster Kevin Strootman has encouraged interested parties to make an offer for his services according to Sky Sports.

The 23 year old is keen to leave his Eredivisie side and stated his desire to do so by stating;

“Every transfer window there are clubs interested. But a club must speak to me first.”

Arsenal and Man United are named by this source as two sides said to be keen on the rangy midfielder and though perhaps both sides could do with strengthening their squads in this department it is Arsene Wenger who is in most need of a steely presence to balance the creative talent he has in abundance.

Strootman is into his second season at the Philips Stadion and has been a hugely influential member of Dick Advocaat’s starting eleven and is now a regular in Louis Van Gaal’s Dutch national team set-up.

The tough tackling battler also has an eye for bursting runs into the opposition half and has an eye for goal and has scored five time in Eredivisie action this term as well as providing eight assists.

Wenger may well feel the need to bring in a strong presence to help release Mikel Arteta from his unfamiliar holding role he has filled since Alex Song left for Barcelona.
