Spanish giants FC Barcelona are still very much interested in signing Santos playmaker Neymar, either this summer or the following year, says Goal.com.
The 21-year-old has been linked with a whole host of big-name European clubs since he first broke on to the world scene as a youngster four years ago, however, it is the Catalan giants who have consistently been the favourites to finally land his signature when he decides to depart his homeland.
The Brazil international has a contract with his club that runs until after next summer’s World Cup finals in his native country, and it is understood that Santos are desperate for him to remain put until after the conclusion of the global show-piece event.
However, it is also believed that the current La Liga leaders are keen to have the attacker on board as early as possible, with discussions taking place over the possibility of Neymar linking up with Lionel Messi in attack at Camp Nou next season.
