Costa Rican wanted for second siesta.
Arsenal youngster, Joel Campbell, could be set for a second spell on loan at Spanish side Real Betis next season, talkSPORT understands.
The 20-year-old joined Betis on a one year loan deal last summer after having spent the previous season with Lorient in France, and his performances for the La Liga side have prompted the club to look into the possibility of keeping him on for another year.
“It’s true that Betis want to extend his loan deal,” Campbell’s agent, Joaquim Batica said.
“As it stands however, nothing has been decided nor signed. The club have informed Arsenal and informed me too, but as of today there is nothing concrete.”
“What he wants is to play and grow,” he added.
“And at Betis that’s what he’s doing. It wouldn’t be bad for him to stay at Betis for longer, but sooner or later he will play in London, because he’s an Arsenal player.”
Batica later went on to say that several unnamed Eruopean sides have also expressed an interest in landing the services of the Costa Rican international. However, despite receiving the plaudits for an excellent campaign that currently sees Betis sitting in 7th place in the table, Campbell has managed to score just twice in 25 appearances.
