Is the Prince returning to England?
Manchester City are considering a shock move for AC Milan midfielder, Kevin-Prince Boateng, according to talkSPORT.
The former Ghanian international has become a key player since moving to the San Siro from Portsmouth in 2010, but with just a year left on his current deal speculation has been rife over where he will begin next season.
Boateng is no stranger to the Premier League, of course, having spent two unhappy years with Tottenham Hotspur before following Harry Redknapp to Portsmouth in 2009. He was part of the Portsmouth squad that won the FA Cup that year but left in a surprise twist to AC Milan.
City have been the only club so far to make any form of tentative enquiry so far and they aren’t altogether unfamiliar with the Boateng family. Kevin’s brother, Jerome, spent a year at The Etihad in 2010 before joining Bayern Munich the following summer. The pair had been rumoured to not speak to each other but that was proved wrong when the pair were snapped on holiday in Miami together last year.
The 26-year-old has come a long way since those days at Spurs and he has quickly turned himself into a very capable player with an eye for the spectacular. He also famously staged a walk off in January when he was racially abused by by fans of Lega Pro 2 team Pro Patria in a mid season friendly. A move that saw him become an ambassador for FIFA and the UN.
