Welsh winger dismisses talk as speculation.
Tottenham winger Gareth Bale has denied that he is on his way to Real Madrid this summer by dismissing talk surrounding his future as speculation, The Express reports.
The 23-year-old has become one of the most sought after players in the world this season and was rewarded for his fine form last weekend by picking up both the PFA player of the year and young player of the year awards at a ceremony in London, becoming the first player to scoop both awards in the same year since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008.
“It’s a massive honour. To be voted by your peers is one of the biggest things in the game. It’s great to win it and I am delighted,” he said.
And he was quick to rubbish talk of him seeking a move away from White Heart Lane by saying: “I just take no notice, it’s all speculation, I can’t do anything about it.”
“I just concentrate on my football and play as well as I can and do my best for the team.”
Bale has scored 29 goals in 48 appearances for Spurs and Wales this season and has frequently been mentioned on a par with messers Ronaldo and his Barcelona counterpart, Lionel Messi.
