Esteban Granero is a target for Serie A club Fiorentina.
QPR midfielder Esteban Granero is a target for Serie A side Fiorentina, according to sources in Italy.
Forza Italian Football claim that la Viola bid for the former Real Madrid man in January, though it was rejected. However, with Rangers now relegated from the Premier League and facing life in the Championship next season, they are likely to lose a lot of their big names this summer.
Granero joined the ambitious Londoners from Real at the start of the season, but the club have struggled to get their big signings to gel, and have not managed to secure Premier League survival.
The 25-year-old would cost around £8million, and would probably welcome the chance to play at a higher level than the second tier of English football.
QPR will have to settle on making a loss on the player, who they initially signed for £9million, and there is likely to be more disappointment as several other big names have relegation release clauses in their contract.
Loic Remy is one who has attracted a lot of interest, and the French forward should be available for just £8million six months after he signed from Ligue 1 club Marseille.
