Swansea City Star Wants Return For Manchester City Flop Scott Sinclair

Leon Britton hopes Swansea re-sign former winger.

Swansea City’s Leon Britton says he and his team-mates would be happy to welcome back Scott Sinclair to the club, after the English winger left the club for Manchester City last summer.

Sinclair has had a bad time at the Etihad Stadium, raising some eyebrows when he was signed by the champions, and failing to make any impact on their first team this season.

The 24-year-old is unlikely to stay at the club, despite Roberto Mancini insisting he has been unfair on the player, and has been linked with moves to several teams for next season.

One of them is the club he left last summer, Swansea, and Britton told the Daily Mirror that Sinclair would still be welcome at the Liberty Stadium.

“We’d be happy to have him back,” said the midfielder. “Scott did great in his two seasons here. In the Championship season he scored 25 goals and was a massive part in the success we’ve had.

“When you get an offer to go the champions you understand why he went and maybe it hasn’t worked out how he wanted it to be.

“If he did become available, and obviously it is down to the manager, but the players would welcome him back tomorrow.”

Sinclair may opt for a move to Liverpool, where he would get a chance to work under former Swans boss Brendan Rodgers, who was the manager who seemed to get the best out of him.
If they miss out on Sinclair, Michael Laudrup’s side have been linked with Junior Hoilett, who should be available after QPR’s relegation from the Premier League.
