Spanish outfit to cash in on French centre-back.
Arsenal could receive a boost in their bid to sign Adil Rami from Valencia, with the Spanish club looking to cash in on the French defender.
According to talkSPORT, a bid of £12.5million could be enough for the Gunners to land the centre-back, who is reportedly keen on a move to a bigger club to boost his chances of a place in the French national team.
Arsene Wenger is a fan of Rami, who is one of the most consistent defenders in La Liga, and sees him as an ideal candidate to replace the out-of-form Thomas Vermaelen, as well as the possibly departing Laurent Koscielny. Ashley Williams of Swansea is also said to be a target, as is Aleksandar Dragovic of FC Basel.
But the Gunners will probably now move for the Valencia man if he is indeed available, though they may face competition from Manchester United for his signature.
The Red Devils were linked with Rami a while ago, though the 27-year-old may fancy his chances of first-team football at Arsenal where there is less competition for places. United are also prioritising attacking players and midfielders in this summer’s transfer window.
