Top Ten Premier League Full-Backs In 2012/13

It’s end of season poll time.

Each week we will invite our readers to vote in a poll that will help us to produce a Premier League Best XI of 2012/13.

Today is the turn of the full-backs.

Leighton Baines (Everton)

As consistent as ever the England man is a pivotal member of the Toffees defensive and attacking areas, a player they can’t afford to lose this summer.

Pablo Zabaleta (Man City)

Argentine has impressed greatly in a season that has on the whole been something of a damp squib for the Etihad Stadium side.

Matthew Lowton (Aston Villa)

Youngster has excelled this term, one of the bright sparks of a season that has seen Paul Lambert’s side fight relegation for much of the campaign.

Glen Johnson (Liverpool)

Anfield wide-man is a determined customer, rarely beaten by the opposition and more than able to make things happen on the attack.

Rafael (Man United)

Brazilian has been excellent this term, a far more consistent performer and now the nailed on first choice right-back at Old Trafford.

Cesar Azpilicueta (Chelsea)

Spaniard has adapted well to life in the English top tier, great link up play with Blues team-mates, speedy and dependable.

Ashley Cole (Chelsea)

Veteran Chelsea man has performed admirably this term, 45 starts in all competitions this season, still has the legs and as a result earned himself a new contract.

Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton)

Former Crystal Palace man has seamlessly taken to life in the Premier League, arguably one of the best signings of the season.

Danny Rose (Sunderland)

Whilst Sunderland have been limp and unadventurous for much of the season the on loan Tottenham man has been an exciting and very capable customer.

Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal)

England man has continued to grow and improve this term and has made the left-back berth his own.
