Arsenal Target Quality Quartet as Seven Set for Gunners Exit

Emirates Stadium side set for major ins and outs this summer.

Arsenal are set for a busy summer if the Daily Mirror are to be believed, with Arsene Wenger looking to bring in a quartet of talents with a host of players set to make way for their arrival.

The North London club are reportedly confident that long term target Stevan Jovetic is to join the club in a £20m deal this summer, with the Montenegro international being handed a bummper £100k a week deal, making him one of Arsenal’s big earners.

Champions League qualification is crucial to the pursuit of Jovetic as well as other targets named by this source.

Wenger will look to bring in experienced German international keeper Rene Alder after running out of patience with inconsistent custodian Wojciech Szczesny. The 28 year old Hamburg man could well be the reliable pair of gloves the Arsenal boss wants to bring in to solidify his back-line.

Bumper commercial deals with Emirates and Puma are helping to fund moves for high-profile additions with Borussia Dortmund right-back Lukasz Piszczek also being strongly linked with a move to the club. Arsene Wenger will also look to bring in a holding midfielder having had to use Mikel Arteta in the position for much of the current campaign.

Arsene Wenger has been told to trim his expansive squad and Arsenal are thought to be able to save as much as £300k a week in wages by offloading seven players who are no longer deemed of use by the French boss.

Sebastien Squillaci, Park Chu-Young, Marouane Chamakh, Denilson, Johan Djourou, Vito Mannone and Nicklas Bendtner will all be made available for sale or released this summer.
