German giants linked with young midfield star.
Incoming Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola is keen on bringing Arsenal star Jack Wilshere to the Allianz Arena next season, according to the Metro.
The former Barcelona boss is set to be given an enormous transfer war chest when he takes charge of the all-conquering Bundesliga side, and has been linked with a number of big names already.
Another Arsenal player, Laurent Koscielny, is apparently a target, as is Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, but Guardiola is also a big fan of Wilshere after the England midfielder gave such an exceptional performance against his Barcelona side two years ago.
Wilshere is rated as one of the best young talents in the world, and could be tempted away from the Emirates Stadium due to a lack of recent silverware at the club, and Bayern look all set to dominate on the domestic and European stage for years to come.
Arsenal will hope not to lose another big name in the transfer market, with the sales in recent years of Cesc Fabregas, Robin van Persie and Samir Nasri causing much unrest among the club’s supporters, and the loss of one of their own homegrown talents would be a particular blow as they look to mount a serious title challenge next season.
Wilshere may still opt for a stay at Arsenal, due to the intense competition for places in Bayern’s star-studded midfield, which has already been strengthened with the signing of playmaker Mario Goetze from Borussia Dortmund.
