Manchester United Target Not Interested In Leaving Juventus

Chilean midfielder sees bright future at Juventus.

Manchester United target Arturo Vidal says he has no plans to leave Juventus, telling Tuttosport that he thinks the club have a very bright future and can emulate the success of Bayern Munich.

The 25-year-old is a key performer for Antonio Conte’s Juventus side, helping them seal a second Serie A title in a row at the weekend. His impressive displays have not gone unnoticed, and United see him as a possible replacement for Paul Scholes at Old Trafford.

The Chilean is Juve’s join-top scorer this season with 10 goals, showing a great ability to do both the defensive work in midfield and get forward to good effect.

However, he and a couple of other Juve players have been linked with moves away, as the Italian league continues to be seen as weaker than it used to be, and inferior to the leagues in England, Spain and Germany.

Still, Vidal feels there is something special growing at the club, and he thinks they can soon emulate the tremendous form and dominance of Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich this season.

“I’m content and I am not thinking about anything else,” he said.

“Obviously you never know what will happen in football, but I’m happy here.

“I have an excellent relationship with boss Antonio Conte. He’s an exceptional person and an out of the ordinary coach.

“There is a big difference between Bayern and ourselves, but that is because they have been following a project for years and they’ve reached three Champions League Finals in four years.

“I think Juventus can follow the same path. I actually think that we are stronger than Bayern were a few years ago. We can become like them.”

Juventus were knocked out of the Champions League by Bayern this season, losing 4-0 on aggregate to the eventual finalists.
