The Hammers ready to partner Belgian youngster with Andy Carroll.
West Ham are confident that they can persuade Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to play at Upton Park next season according to The Metro.
The powerhouse forward has been highly impressive this season for West Brom and finished the campaign as their top scorer.
The 20 year old is set to return to his parent club Chelsea where it will be left to the club’s new manager to decide Lukaku’s short term future.
The player is still rated as key star of the future at Stamford Bridge but it is thought that Lukaku could be sent out for another year on loan to ensure his continues with his progression.
West Brom would love to take Lukaku back for another year but West Ham chairman David Sullivan is hoping the opportunity to live in London will persuade the striker to turn his back on the Midlands club.
The Hammers are hoping to pair Lukaku with Andy Carroll, who the club are hoping to sign from Liverpool in the coming days.
But both West Ham and West Brom may find their hopes dashed with reports in recent weeks having suggested that Chelsea are keen to send Lukaku on loan to a club playing European football.
