Senegalese striker welcomes Mourinho link.
Chelsea striker Demba Ba says that the whole squad at Stamford Bridge are excited at the prospect of Jose Mourinho returning to the club as manager this summer.
The Portuguese coach previously enjoyed great success at Chelsea between 2004 and 2007, winning two league titles and helping make the Blues one of the most feared teams in Europe.
He has since gone on to enjoy similar success at Inter Milan and Real Madrid, though his time at the Bernebeu has been confirmed as coming to an end this summer after a disappointing season for the Spanish giants.
He is now the favourite to succeed interim boss Rafael Benitez at Chelsea, a move that Ba says he and his team mates are all very excited about.
“You see what he has won, what he has brought to his teams and to his players individually, and of course he is one of the best,” Ba told Sky Sports News.
“He knows everything about Chelsea having already managed the team for three or four years. He knows everybody here and he knows the club.
“Everybody is thinking about it and everybody is happy. They know that he is a person that wants to win.”
Ba joined Chelsea from Newcastle in the January transfer window, and has scored six times for the club in the second half of the season.
