In demand ace eyes Premier League switch.
Porto midfielder Christian Atsu has alerted a number of Premier League clubs after admitting that he wants to come to England this summer, Sky Sports reports.
The 21-year-old is entering the final year of his current deal and has reportedly rejected the fresh terms offered to him by the Portuguese champions. Porto have been intent on increasing the release clause in his contract to €30 million (£24 million) and the Ghanaian has found himself in and out of the squad as a result of the stuttering negotiations.
Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Everton have all been said to be interested and they will all be paying close attention after the player admitted that a move to England would be a dream come true.
I spoke to the club [Porto] before I came away on international duty and informed them that I won’t be signing a new deal,” he said.
“The club have made their feelings clear to me after I refused to sign a new deal and I hope we can reach a resolution soon.
“It has always been my dream to play in England and it is flattering to be linked with some big Premier League clubs.
“At the moment I am focused on Ghana’s World Cup games, but I see my future in England and I hope I will have more news after these games.”
