But Spanish giants can’t buy everyone they’re linked with.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has admitted that he would love to see Liverpool striker Luis Suarez join the club this summer, talkSPORT reports.
With the transfer window set to open, Real are expected to be busy having been linked with the likes of Spurs forward Gareth Bale and Borussia Dortmund’s Robert Lewandowski and Edinson Cavani of Napoli, but he has also confessed that the club can’t buy every player that they’re linked with.
“Suarez is a great player and I’m sure every team in the world would like to have him,” he told Spanish radio station Cadena COPE. “I like him, as well as others, but we can’t fit everyone in.
“Luis Suarez, Lewandowski, Cavani, they’re all very good, but there isn’t room for everyone.
“But if there’s a top player we could sign, he’ll be in Madrid.”
Suarez’s future at Liverpool has been in doubt since he received a 10 game ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic. He has already missed four games but will serve out the next six at the beginning of next season.
It isn’t the first time Suarez has caused controversy in a red jersey after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra. Many have called on Liverpool to cash in on the troubled star and rid themselves of the negative press, whilst those connected with the club have insisted that he must stay put.
