Real Madrid will bid an astronomical £85 million for Gareth Bale as a replacement for Manchester United and Chelsea target Cristano Ronaldo.

The Daily Mail reports that the Spanish giants will temp Spurs with a huge bid that the North London club will be unable to refuse.

He will replace Cristano Ronaldo who has been linked with a move back to Old Trafford.

Ronaldo was left out of Real Madrid’s final game of the season against Osasuna, raising speculation that the Portuguese star could be on his way out of the Bernabeu.

A move back to Manchester United would appear to suit Ronaldo, who spent 6 years at Old Trafford before moving to Real Madrid.

Chelsea appear to also be interested in Ronaldo, with Jose Mourinho set to take over at Stamford Bridge for a second time.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hopes to appease Madrid fans angry about Ronaldo’s departure with the signings of Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez.

Madrid appear to be ready to offer Liverpool £40 million for the want away striker and following several controversies involving Suarez, Liverpool may just want to cash in on the former Ajax striker.
