Bayern Munich are stepping up their interest in Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny, and are reportedly preparing a £15million bid for the Frenchman, according to the Sun.

The 27-year-old has proven to be a good signing by Arsene Wenger when he joined the club from Lorient in 2010, enhancing his reputation over the last couple of seasons to emerge as a key player for the Gunners.

He certainly impressed Pep Guardiola with a solid display against his Barcelona team a few years ago, and the Spaniard is now keen to bring him to his new team Bayern Munich this summer.

Arsenal will be hoping to fight off bids for Koscielny, as they already face the prospect of losing other key members of their back four. Both Bacary Sagna and Thomas Vermaelen are unsettled and could seal moves away, and Wenger will be hoping to avoid another summer of big-name players leaving the Emirates Stadium.

Koscielny would understandably be tempted to link up with Bayern, who won an incredible treble this season and only look like improving under the guidance of Guardiola, who will also be given a great deal of money to spend on the team this summer.
