Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has issued a hands off warning on full back Pepe by insisting that he is not for sale, Sky Sports reports.

The 30-year-old has reportedly been on the watch list of Manchester City as prospective boss Manuel Pellegrini is a big fan whilst new Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, who oversaw his career whilst at Madrid, is also thought to be keen on bringing him to Stamford Bridge.

However, Perez has moved quickly to let everyone know that the Portuguese international isn’t for sale and will remain a key figure in any future success the club may have.

“Pepe is for for sale and will not move this summer, at least that’s my opinion,” he told Spanish radio station Onda Cero.

He also addressed the rumours linking star duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Iker Casillas with moves out of the Santiago Bernabeau.

“I never said he wanted to go,” he said when asked about Ronaldo.

“And I cannot imagine a future without Casillas.”

Madrid are still in the hunt for a new head coach following Mourinho’s return to west London with PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti still heading the wish list and Perez is keen to tie up a deal for the Italian sooner rather than later.

“He would fit very well into the Real Madrid culture,” said Perez.

“He knows how to handle big players and is a good coach, what happens next is down to PSG.”
