Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas wants to keep hold of Bafetimi Gomis as well.
French club Lyon want to keep hold of Clement Grenier and stop Bafetimi Gomis leaving on a free transfer according to Sky Sports.
Grenier has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal, with the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger publicly stating that the North London club are interested in the Frenchman.
Wenger has likened Grenier to former Arsenal player Samir Nasri.
Juventus have also been keeping tabs on the French midfielder and could rival Arsenal should Grenier become available.
However, Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas doesn’t want to see Grenier leave this summer.
“The club’s position is there will be no departure this year of a player who was educated at the club and that is reaching maturity.” said Aulas regarding the future of Grenier.
The highly rated French midfielder has revealed that he will decide his future after he returns from international duty.
Speculation has also been mounting regarding the future of Gomis, who could be a free agent next summer if his contract runs out.
Cardiff City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all said to be monitoring Gomis situation at Lyon and will try and make a cut price move for the player if they think that Gomis wants to leave Lyon.
Lyon playmaker Yoann Gourcuff could also leave this summer, although the club have yet to receive any bids for the player.
