French side deny bids have been made for star pair.
French giants Lille have denied that they have received any bids for star duo Lucas Digne and Dimitri Payet, according to Sky Sports.
Midfielder Payet made his international debut last week in the friendlies against Brazil and Uruguay last week and impressed tremendously. His performances this season have seen him linked with a big money move to fellow French giants Marseille, whilst young full back Lucas Digne has been watched by PSG as well as Liverpool and Manchester United.
However, the club’s deputy director general, Frederic Pacquet, has confirmed that they have received no offers for either player yet despite what reports elsewhere in France suggest.
“We are listening and if there is an offer which corresponds to their market value, we will think about it,” he told Radio Monte Carlo.
“In the end LOSC must benefit.”
The northern side have seen their share of financial difficulties recently and may be forced to sell one or two of their star players, but Pacquet admitted that highly rated 20-year-old midfielder Florian Thauvin will not be one of them.
Thauvin joined Lille from Bastia in January but was loaned back to the Corsican side for the remainder of the season where he picked up the Young Player of the Year award.
“There is nothing to say about Thauvin,” Pacquet added.
“The question has not even arisen, he will be here next season. President (Michel) Seydoux has been clear on this and everyone is on the same wavelength.”
