Spanish outfit join chase for Serbian attacker.
Atletico Madrid are considering a move for Manchester United and Chelsea target Adem Ljajic, according to Forza Italian Football.
The 21-year-old is one of the most exciting young talents in Serie A at the moment, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists for Fiorentina this season, attracting attention from all around Europe.
Premier League duo United and Chelsea looked the favourites to sign him, and the former have actually come close before, though they turned him down in his time as a youngster at Serbian side Partizan Belgrade.
Atletico Madrid are now monitoring his situation as well, as manager Diego Simeone should have a good amount of money to spend on his squad this summer, following the lucrative £50million sale of star striker Radamel Falcao to Monaco.
The La Liga outfit have been linked with the likes of Luis Suarez, Javier Hernandez and Christian Benteke in their bid to replace Falcao, but could also move for a creative forward like Ljajic, who plays just behind the main striker.
The Serbian’s talent is obvious, and it would be a major coup for Atletico to beat some big names to his signature, and they have shown their ability to compete in the transfer market before.
Fiorentina are also facing a flurry of offers for star striker Stevan Jovetic this summer, with the 23-year-old wanted by Arsenal, Chelsea and Juventus.
