Isco And Edinson Cavani Set To Snub Manchester City

Both players look set to join Real Madrid at some point during the summer.

Manchester City look set to miss out on two of their biggest transfer targets this summer according to the Daily Star.

Reports suggest that Edinson Cavani and Isco both favour moves to Real Madrid and despite talking to City about a possible move they are both set to snub Manchester in favour of the Spanish capital.

Cavani is City’s main transfer target this summer and the club have the money to trigger the strikers £53 million release clause but the players father revealed that the striker has his heart set on a move to Madrid.

City were more hopeful about signing Isco because of his ties to new boss Manuel Pellegrini.

Isco played under Pellegrini when the Chilean managed Malaga and the two share a close bond, with Isco calling Pellegrini his footballing father.

However, it appears that the lure of Real Madrid is too great for Isco and he is set to move to the Bernabeu rather than the Etihad.

Pellegrini will be disappointed to miss out on two of his top transfer targets and may have to look at other options, especially up front, with the club only having three recognised strikers.
