Anfield set to welcome Spanish forward to Merseyside.
Liverpool are set to make progress in their attempts to sign Sevilla midfielder Luis Alberto according to Marca.
The Reds had a bid of around 6 million euros rejected by the Spanish club but Liverpool look to set to make an improved bid next week for the highly rated young midfielder.
While the youngster is perfectly happy to stay at Sevilla, he is also keen on a move to the Premier League and especially to a big club like Liverpool.
Sevilla would also be very happy if the youngster stayed at the club but the Spanish side are currently in a very difficult financial situation and any extra income would be happily received.
So it seems that both Liverpool and Sevilla will make compromises to make the sale of Luis Alberto happen and if the Reds bid between 6-8 million euros, Sevilla may well accept the bid.
The Spanish club are seeing plenty of interest in their playing staff this season, with winger Jesus Navas already leaving for Premier League runners-up Manchester City.
There is also a lot of interest surrounding striker Alvaro Negredo, who is wanted by several English clubs including Tottenham and West Ham.
Sevilla could accept a bid of around £20 million for Negredo.
