Newcastle United Midfielder Yohan Cabaye Admits Move To AS Monaco Interests Him

Reports suggest that the midfielder has had a medical with the French club.

Newcastle midfielder Yohan Cabaye has admitted that a move to big spending AS Monaco would appeal to him according to the Sun.

Reports have suggested that Cabaye was in Monaco to have a medical with the club without Newcastle knowing about it.

The midfielder has been outspoken in recent weeks about his future and recently admitted that he would like to play for Manchester United.

Now the Frenchman is courting Monaco and said in an interview that “Monaco have the means to build a strong team. It might interest everyone.”

Newcastle fans won’t like one of their players openly talking about another club and a lot of bookmakers have suspended bets about Cabaye moving to the French club.

The midfielder is currently rated at £23 million and Monaco certainly have the money to buy Cabaye from Newcastle.

Monaco have spend a staggering £110 million already this summer on striker Falcao and midfielders James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho and their spending doesn’t look like stopping.

The club, who were promoted to Ligue 1 last season, are interested in signing Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and have the means to offer United anything they demand for the want-away striker.
