Cardiff had a £8 million bid accepted by Blackpool over the weekend and look set to go head to head with their Welsh rivals over the signing of Ince.

The 21 year old is one of the most highly rated players playing in the Championship having scored 18 goals last season.

He was close to leaving Blackpool in the January transfer window with Liverpool wanting to sign Ince but being unable to come to an agreement with Blackpool about how much the 21 year old was worth.

Tom Ince’s current manager and father, Paul Ince revealed that Blackpool had accepted a bid from Cardiff but said that their was still a chance that his son could stay at Bloomfield as he wasn’t in a rush to play in the Premier League.

Paul Ince is hoping that Tom stays at the club for at least one more season to help Blackpool get promoted to the Premier League.
