Real Madrid To Use Gonzalo Higuain As Bait In Bid to Sign Liverpool Striker Luis Suarez

Spanish giants ready to offer Argentine striker in part-exchange.

Arsenal look set to miss out on the signing of Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain after it emerged that Real Madrid are preparing to use the player as bait in a deal for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez according to The Daily Mail.

The Gunners have been tracking Higuain for a large part of the summer but it is now looking less and less likely that the Argentine will arrive at the Emirates Stadium.

Madrid are keen to sign Liverpool’s Luis Suarez but have baulked at his £40 million asking price. The Spanish giants are hoping to instead negotiate a deal involving a Higuain as part of the deal.

Liverpool have previously stated that they would only be accepting cash bids for Suarez, but it remains to be seen how they will react to a concrete offer.

Suarez is becoming increasingly noisy about his desire to leave Anfield, and that could persuade Liverpool bosses to cut their losses on the Uruguayan.

Suarez is no stranger to controversy and there is a growing concern about the disruptive influence he could have in the Liverpool dressing room if he is no granted his wish of a move away from the club this summer.

Should Real Madrid be successful in their bid for Suarez, it would be the worst possible news for Arsenal, who have made Higuain and Suarez their top targets for the summer.
